Uttarakhand Assembly Election Results 2022
In Uttarakhand, there is a total of 70 seats and 36 seats are needed for a majority to win in Uttarakhand Assembly Elections. This year also, there is a neck-to-neck competition between Indian National Congress and Bhartiya Janta Party for CM Candidate. This year, Aam Aadmi Party is also fighting on all 70 seats.
They have announced the name of Ajay Kothiyal as their CM Candidates for Uttarakhand Assembly Elections 2022. As of now, BJP Party has named Pushkar Singh Dhami as CM Candidates and Harish Rawat could be the new CM of Uttarakhand if Indian National Congress Party wins the Uttarakhand Assembly Elections 2022.
Major Changes in Uttarakhand Politics in 2021-22
After winning the previous assembly elections in Uttarakhand, BJP formed the state government and appointed Mr Trivendra Singh Rawat as CM of Uttarakhand. But, on 9th March 2021, he resigned from the post of CM due to internal issues in the party. Later, Tirath Singh Rawat was appointed in his place as the new CM of Uttarakhand.
But, within a few months, he also resigned from CM Post on 2nd July 2021. The reason was again the same conflict in the party. On 3rd July 2021, Pushkar Singh Dhami was appointed as CM in Uttarakhand.
Besides conflicts in the Party, Farmers Bills have also badly distorted the image of BJP in Uttarakhand state. Sanyukt Kisan Morcha compained against Bhartiya Janta Party. They organized public meetings and rallied against BJP and requested farmers not to vote for BJP.
SKM Leaders launched Mission UP and Uttarakhand for appealing to voters not to vote for BJP or any other political party. Later, the government banned these rallies due to covid-19. So, they distributed pandemic leaflets with their appeal to the villagers in Uttarakhand.
The effect of the Sanyukt Kisan Morcha Campaign has endangered the winning chances of BJP. Yet, they can give tough fights to Indian National Congress and Other Parties. In our opinion, BJP and Congress have equal chances of winning and losing the Uttarakhand Assembly Elections. What is your opinion, please mention it in the comment section given below. Thank You.
