The Union Public Service Commission is going to organize the examination for the post of Assistant Commandant in the Central Armed Police Forces (BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP, SSB) on 6 August 2023. UPSC has released the admit card for the CAPF written exam two weeks before the examination date.
UPSC will recruit 322 candidates as Assistant Commandants in various Paramilitary Forces according to vacancies released in the different departments given in Examination Notice No. 09/2023-CPF published on 26 April 2023. A large number of candidates filled out the application form and the last date to submit an online application form was 16 May 2023.

UPSC has released the UPSC CAPF AC Admit Card for the written exam on its official website which is upsc.gov.in. Candidates can download the same from the official site by filling in their user id and password.
UPSC CAPF AC Selection Process
Candidates must read the official notification released on the official portal for all details. The selection process for CAPF AC is divided into the following phases:

- Physical Efficiency Test

UPSC CAPF AC 2023 Exam Pattern
The written exam to be conducted by UPSC will be held on 6 August 2023. It is scheduled in two shifts, the first shift is from 10 am to 12 noon and the second shift timing is 2 pm to 5 pm. The written Exam will comprise two papers i.e. Paper I and Paper II. Details and patterns of both exams are given below:

The candidates who qualify for the written exam will be called for the physical efficiency tests in which the following events are scheduled for the candidates:
For Male Candidates
- 100 meters race in 16 seconds
- 800 meters race in 3 minutes and 45 seconds
- Long Jump of 3.5 meters (3 chances will be given)
- Shot Put (7.26 Kg) throw up to 4.5 meters.
For Female Candidates
- 100 meters race in 18 seconds
- 800 meters race in 4 minutes and 45 seconds
- Long Jump of 3 meters (3 chances will be given)
The candidates who qualify in both of the phases will be called for an interview which includes 150 marks. On the basis of candidates’ performance and total marks scored in all of the phases, a final merit list will be prepared.
