The recruitment authority, State Level Police Recruitment Board (SLPRB) has conducted a physical examination for the recruitment of Excise Constables and Jail Warders. The recruitment drive is to fill 222 vacancies of Excise Constable and 265 vacancies of Jail Warder posts in the Police Department. The examination started on 1st March 2023 and was conducted successfully.

Assam Police Merit List for Jail Warder, Excise Constable
Assam Police Result of the Physical Test will be declared on the official portal. If the candidate has passed the minimum qualifying marks then post-completion of the PST and PET for all the candidates, merit lists for each category will be prepared based on the total marks scored on PET as per vacancies.
The candidates called for the Written Test will be five times the number of posts allotted in respect of each category. It will be on basis of the merit list. If the total number of qualifying candidates turns out to be less than five times the number of posts, all qualifying candidates will be called for the Written Test.
Tie Breaker: If candidates are scoring the same marks in PET as the last candidate selected for the written test by the five times formula in a particular case, the candidates scoring the same marks will also be called for the written examination.
