On July 31, 2022, the Jammu Kashmir Public Service Commission administered the Preliminary Combined Competitive Examination. According to the officials of the commission, a large number of applicants appeared for the written examination. Participants in the preliminary examination need to achieve at least the minimum qualifying marks established for each individual paper in order to be considered for the next round of the selection process.
The Commission uses its own judgement to determine the qualifying score needed to pass each section of the exam. The authorities have not determined the minimum number of points required to pass the paper I examination. In order to pass the qualifying exam II (the paper on general studies), aspirants need to get a minimum score of 33 %.
