IGNOU Junior Assistant cum Typist (JAT) Recruitment notification was published by the National Testing Agency in the month of March 2023. The notification was published to fill up the 200 vacant positions of mentioned posts. The registration process for these posts started on 22 March and was completed by 20 April 2023.

IGNOU JAT Selection Process
The process of selection for these posts will be done in two phases. In the first phase of selection, the department will conduct the written test which will be organized by the National Testing Agency. After the written examination, the selected candidates will be shortlisted for the next phase on the basis of the merit list. In the 2nd phase of selection, the department will conduct a typing test.
The examination will be a computer-based test. The CBT will consist of 150 questions for 150 marks. A time duration of 2 hours will be given to candidates to complete the examination.

The test will be of qualifying in nature. The Skill Test will be conducted to check the minimum qualifying skill of candidates. The candidates have to qualify for the typing test with a minimum qualifying typing speed.
