The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda is responsible for the conductance of the Gujarat State Eligibility Test under the State Education Department of Gujarat this year. The university has released an official notification for Gujarat SET 2023 and going to conduct the 17th SET Exam.
The notification was released through the official webpage at gujaratset.ac.in and online applications were received from eligible candidates from 21 August to 16 September 2023. The exam is scheduled to be conducted on 26 November 2023, the officials will release Gujarat SET Call Letter a few days before the exam date.
The candidates who will qualify in the SET examination will be eligible for the posts of Assistant Professor in university or Affiliated colleges.

Gujarat SET Paper Pattern
There will be two papers in the Gujarat SET Examination. It is compulsory for the applicants to qualify in both papers to be eligible for Assistant Professor posts. There will be no negative marking for incorrect answers. Both papers will be OMR-Based.
The questions in both papers will appear in both languages Gujarati and English (except for languages and science subjects). Questions of Language subjects will be in their respective language and Science subjects will be in English. Check GSET 2023 Examination Scheme Here.
- Paper I shall consist of 50 objective-type compulsory questions each carrying 2 marks. The questions which will be of general nature, are intended to assess the teaching/research aptitude of the candidate.
- Paper II will comprise a total of 100 MCQs each carrying 2 marks which will be based on the subject selected by the candidate.
