The Gujarat Public Service Commission conducted the preliminary examination for the Deputy Section Officer or Nayab Mamlatdar posts on 16 October 2022. The exam board has organised this examination across the state for the recruitment of 80 candidates for the advertised vacancies.

The commission first conducts the examination across the state then it releases answer key for the examination. After that is moves to check the answer sheets of candidates. Now the board arrange the names of candidates on the basis of the marks attained by them in the written test.
All those candidates who will pass the prelims exam will be called to appear in the mains exam. The candidates will have to score more marks than the GPSC Nayab Mamlatdar Cut Off Marks to be eligible to take part in the mains examination.
