The Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) has released the notification for the recruitment of candidates for the post of Social Security Assistant (SSA) and Stenographer on its official website. The notification was released on 24th March 2023. The authority has released a total of 2859 vacancies, out of which 2674 are for the Social Security Assistant post and 185 for the post of Stenographer.

Online applications are invited for these vacancies starting from 27th March 2023. The recruitment authority has released detailed notifications for both posts, the candidates are requested to go through the official notification as well for further details apart from this post.

EPFO Vacancies Eligibility Criteria

The candidate should meet either of the eligibility criteria to be eligible for the exam:

1. The candidate must be a 12th class pass from a recognized Board as on 26th April 2023.
2. Skill Test in Stenography: The candidates who are shortlisted in the Phase-I Examination will be required to appear in a skill test for stenography: It will have dictation(Ten minutes at the rate of eighty words per minute.)(Dictation will be computer-based) Also it will have transcription (Fifty minutes (English) / Sixty-five minutes (Hindi). (Only on the computer)).

The candidate Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university as on 26th April 2023. A typing speed of 35 words per minute in English or 30 words per minute in Hindi on a computer.

The age of the candidate should be between 18 to 27 years as on 26th April 2023 with Age relaxation as applicable. For details related to age relaxation, the candidate should go through the official notification.

The application fee needs to payed via online mode of payment. The application fee for different categories are as shared below.

1. Visit the official website at epfindia.gov.in.
2. Go to the section “Recruitment”.
3. Click on the link “Recruitment Examination for Employees’ of Provident Fund Organization” for registration.
4. The link will direct you to the registration portal.
5. The candidate should fill in all the details requested in the application form correctly.
6. In case of any false information or if more than one application is submitted for one post, the application form will be rejected and the candidature will be canceled.
7. Once the candidate has completed the application form, they should pay the application fee if applicable.
8. The candidate should take a printout of the completed application form for future reference.
