The National Testing Agency is going to conduct the selection test for the posts of Personal Assistant on the behalf of Delhi High Court. The examination will be conducted soon for which Delhi High Court PA Exam Date will be released on the official portal of the department.

The recruitment notification for these posts has published in the month of March 2023. In this recruitment drive, there are 127 available vacancies out of which 60 vacancies are reserved for Senior Personal Assistants and the rest 67 vacancies are for Personal Assistant posts. The process of registration for the same was completed by 31st March.

As the registration process is completed successfully, the National Testing Agency is going to conduct the first phase of selection for these posts. Delhi High Court Selection Process

The department will select the eligible candidates through the various selection phases given below.

  • English Typing Test
  • English Shorthand Tests
  • Main Examination (Descriptive)
  • Interview

In order to conduct the selection tests, the department will organize the English Typing Test and English Shorthand Test on the same day and after that, the shortlisted candidates will be called for the Main Exam which will be a Descriptive Examination. In the final round of selection, the candidates will have to go through the personal Interview.

Delhi High Court Exam Scheme

The examination and marking scheme for English Typing Test, Main Examination, and Interview are the same for both posts while the English Shorthand Test is different which are described below.

English Typing Test

English Typing Test will be a qualifying test for stage 2. The marks of this test will not be considered in the final merit list. A time duration of 10 minutes will be given for this test to check the eligibility of candidates to type a minimum of 40 words per minute in English on a computer. A total of 3% of mistakes will be permissible for total typed words.

English Shorthand Test for SPA

In this test, the candidates have to dictate a passage of 550 words in 5 minutes to fulfill the criterion of 110 words per minute. And 45 minutes will be given to transcribing the dictated passage on the computer.

3% of mistakes will be permissible of the total words dictated. For one full mistake, 6 marks will be deducted and for half mistake, 3 marks will be deducted. Candidates who will commit 16.5 mistakes will get 1 mark and if anyone commits more than 16.5 mistakes he/she will be disqualified

Candidates will get an opportunity to participate in two shorthand dictation transcription and the best one will be considered.

English Shorthand Test for SPA
  • You have to dictate a passage of 500 words in 5 minutes.
  • 45 minutes will be given to transcribing the dictated passage.
  • 3% of mistakes will be permissible of the total words dictated.
  • There will be a negative marking of 6 marks for one full mistake and 3 marks for half mistake in this test.
  • You will get two chances to participate in shorthand dictation transcription and the best one will be considered.
Main Exam Scheme

This will be a descriptive type examination. The test will be conducted for 100 marks and you will get 2 hours to complete this examination. The examination will be conducted only in the English language.
