In order to shortlist the eligible candidates for the above-mentioned vacancies the department is all set to conduct the selection test for these posts. The selection of candidates for the posts of drivers will be done on the basis of a written exam and skill test while for the post of conductor, the selection will be done on the basis of a written exam. There is no personality test or interview for this recruitment.
CTU Exam Pattern for Driver & Conductor
The Exam Patterns for both Driver and Conductor posts are different. The complete details about CTU Exam Scheme are given below.
There will be objective-type multiple-choice questions in the written exam. The examination will be conducted for 100 marks. The paper will be divided into three sections.
- Knowledge of Motor Vehicle Act and Traffic rules – 50 Marks.
- Knowledge of Bus/ Vehicle Repair Maintenance – 40 Marks
- Basic Knowledge of First-Aid – 10 Marks
There is no negative marking in this exam and the mode of examination is Hindi, English & Punjabi Language.
In the skill test, the candidates have to qualify the following phases-
- Dug/Ramp test (Reverse driving test).
- “8” Shape driving test (for only those who qualify for the dug/ramp test.
- Road Test.
There will be 100 questions for 100 marks in the conductor exam. The question paper will be divided in two parts.
