The salary for BSF JE and SI Posts will be as per Pay Matrix Level-6 Rs. 35400 to Rs. 112400 as per 7th CPC. While the salary for BSF Inspector will be as per Pay Matrix-7 Rs. 44900-Rs. 142400 as per 7th CPC.

- Sub Inspector (Works): Applicant must have passed a three years Diploma in Engineering from an Institute recognized by state or central government.
- JE/SI (Electrical): Applicant must have passed a 3-years Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institute.
- Inspector (Architect): Applicant must have a degree in Architecture from a recognized institute and must have registered with the Council of Architecture under the Architects Act, 1972.
- The upper age limit for BSF Sub Inspector and Inspector Posts is 30 years.
